What did you love best about An Ambitious Engagement?
I loved how Luke finally won Kennedy over. Their fake engagement definitely brings to pass the ultimate ending of all endings.
I was very emotional off and on throughout the book. I enjoyed all of the laughs and the sad parts equally. Luke and Kennedy are truly suited for each other.

Who was your favorite character and why?
I don't think I can honestly say whether or not I preferred Luke or Kennedy more. I got equally irritated with them both. Though if I really think about it, I got a little more irritated by some of Kennedy's attitudes than I did of Luke. I had genuine sympathy for Luke several times. Though for both of them I say they dug themselves in deep where Bently and Candy were concerned.

Have you listened to any of Charles Lawrence’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, I have listened to him through the whole Clover Park series. He does an outstanding job on each book.

If you could rename An Ambitious Engagement, what would you call it?
I think it would be something like this...The Swallowing of One's Pride.

LOL....I wouldn't change it though.

I loved reading this book. I hope everyone else who reads it, loves it as much as I did.

This is book 8 in Kylie Gilmore's Clover Park series. They can be read as a stand-alone. These books will tickle your funny bone and pull at your heart strings. Luke and Kennedy's story is no different. They meet competing for the same client. The back and forth between the two is very entertaining but the heat between them is off the charts.
The witty banter between the two make the characters so likeable. Luke has some of the best lines. He's a strange mix of selflessness and selfishness. More the former than the latter. This is why you'll fall in love with Luke.
Luke and Ken are in competition for the account of billionaire Bently Williams. Luke needs this account to secure a promotion and keep his job and Ken needs it to take care of her family. When they meet Luke is surprised to find out that Ken is actually a woman named Kennedy. Bently and his wife Candy like both of them. They are so happily married they want whoever works with them to be settled. In a moment of panic Kennedy lets them believe she and Luke are a couple. Luke decides to go long just to see what will happen. They get invited to Bently's estate for the weekend. Now they have to pretend to be a loving couple. This is where the fun begins. Will they be able to convince everyone? This book is sexy and lots of fun. I received an ARC for my honest opinion.
Luke and Kennedy were explosive from the first meeting on the Golf Course to the Yes I will spend a lifetime with you.

Luke is this carefree playboy not looking for anything permanent but still lonely watching all his brothers find love. Kennedy is this strong woman not looking for a man to complete her life or take over for her. She likes being needed by her family and does not want to lose control of anything. Both being Finical planers they are competing for the same client and find themselves fake engaged. I loved Bentley and his wife the dynamic between them and Luke and Kennedy was just so fun to read.

This story was such a good read from beginning to end, I even laughed out loud in public (people looking at me like I was crazy) I most defiantly look forward to the next Clover Park Story.

This is book eight of the Clover Park series with Luke and Kennedy. Luke is a financial planner and must land a big client to not be cut during his company's upcoming downsize. He finally get s meeting with the eccentric billionaire and his competitor, Kennedy, at the golf course. Kennedy needs this client, her first, to prove she can be more than an assistant. Not only that, she needs the money to help support her family. As the eldest, she needs to help with her father's medical bills and the needs of her younger siblings. Kennedy confirms to the client, not only are they a couple but they are engaged. Only one of them will be chosen as his financial planner.

Both Luke and Kennedy have strong personalities. Kennedy's fake-fiance game goes too far and the stage is set for disaster. She is kind and you cannot help but feel for her and her family's predicament. Luke has depth but likes to hide behind his money slick facade. A great story to fake it until you make it!
I have decided that I want to pack up lock, stock and barrel and move to Clover Park because the men there... (fans myself) are amazing.

This latest addition to the Clover Park series in no way disappoints. (In fact, I already called Dibs on Luke)This book, as well as all of the others, are stand alone books but if you are like me, you will be getting the rest in the series to read about the other Studs in this town.

This is the story of Luke and Kennedy (Ken). They are both trying to get the business of the same client, Bentley, and meet playing golf with the client. Kennedy announces that she and Luke are engaged and Luke goes along with it. They are then invited to spend Labor Day weekend at Bentley's Cottage with him and his wife.

Luke is a real go getter at work but he is also sweet and caring with a great sense of humor....and a master in the bedroom (swoon). Kennedy is actually an assistant going behind her boss' back to get the deal. She is taking care of her family physically and financially since her Dad is recovering from a bad accident.
The attraction between them is palpable.....how are they going to get through the weekend keeping up the pretense of the engagement? And how will they both keep their real feelings from each other?
